Cookie & Browser Storage Policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026
4digital.cloud uses no cookies — neither its own nor third parties’. There are no analytics or advertising tools, no social plugins and no content embedded from external services. The site does not use session storage (sessionStorage) either. Fonts and all assets are served from its own domain; the site loads no external scripts.
That is why the site shows no consent banner: there is nothing that would require consent.
The same applies to 4digital Lab at lab.4digital.cloud.
The site uses your browser’s local storage (localStorage) to remember two settings you choose yourself:
- 4digital.theme — the theme you selected: light, dark or system. Saved only when you change the theme in the switch.
- 4digital.language — the language you selected: Polish or English. Saved only when you click the language switch; on your next visit to the root address the site opens in that language.
4digital Lab (lab.4digital.cloud) stores only the 4digital.theme entry; it has a single language version.
The entries contain only the name of the setting (e.g. “dark”, “pl”). They do not identify you or your device, are not sent to the server and are not shared with anyone. Your choice is remembered across sessions and visits: after you close the browser and return, it still applies until you change it or clear the site data — the entries have no expiry date. A note that the choice is remembered is available right at the language and theme switches (a tooltip on hover and a description for screen readers). If your browser blocks local storage, the site works normally; it simply does not remember your choice.
Saving your chosen theme and language in browser storage is necessary to provide the service you explicitly request by clicking the switch. Under Article 399 of the Polish Electronic Communications Law of 12 July 2024 (Prawo komunikacji elektronicznej), storing such information on a user’s device does not require consent. The site stores no other information on your device.
You can change the settings at any time with the language and theme switches on the site. To remove the saved entries, clear the site data for 4digital.cloud (and lab.4digital.cloud) in your browser settings (usually: Settings → Privacy → Site data). You can also block local storage entirely — the site will keep working and the theme will follow your system setting.
If tools requiring consent (such as analytics) are ever added to the site, this policy will be updated and a consent mechanism put in place before they are switched on. Information on how personal data is processed is in the Privacy Policy.
